Imagine a world where everything is connected. And it's not just your fridge (with LCD) and emails you when you are short of milk or fruits, but a plant that tells you how "thirsty" it is.
The creative people at Botanicalls have a twitter at pothos that tells you how humid it is and twitters. Though connected using CAT5 LAN cables at the moment, it's only a matter of time before its connected via WiFI to your router and out to the cloud.
Imagine another day, when you pull out your maxis iPhone3G and water it in return, with the plant responding and saying a BIG thank you and a HUG for loving it!
That's how connected we are getting in a world of laziness and convenience! So much for Earth Hour as I am sure Botanicalls kit at USD$99 is gonna crank up some of your electricity juice if you have 20-30 plants or more that you wanna monitor.
Having said that, it's also a matter of time when these guys suck power from the sun/wind or the plants in return!
