iPhone ver3.0 with its famous cut, copy, paste was launched in March 2008. With free upgrades to iPhone users but a paid USD$9.99 upgrade for iPod Touch users.
Developers also now have over 100 APIs to utilize, including iPod's music library and vibrate!
Highlights for developers would also be the 70:30 sharing model and push notifications.
1. iPhone3G was also launched in March 2008 in Malaysia with Maxis, but with a handful of packages (to further confused) consumers. 3-4 months late after my predicted launch with the "green" cellular operator in Nov 2008 :)
2. It is also rumoured that the 2nd generation iPhone3G will be launched in summer. And it spots a 2nd front camera and HSDPA! Can't wait for that as you wouldn't need any hardware upgrade, until one of the WIMAX operators actually launches a nationwide coverage and not just in major cities.
3. My personal experience with iPhone/iPod Touch apps include Joe from Platinum Coded who so graciously took comments on the Apple Store and updated his app. Kudos to all iPohone developers :)
